PITA (Pennsylvania Infrastructure Technology Alliance) is a Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) program, a collaboration between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Center for Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS) at Lehigh University, and the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems (ICES) at Carnegie Mellon University. PITA’s R&D projects involve Pennsylvania companies, faculty, and students and have helped in the creation and implementation of numerous cutting-edge technologies in Pennsylvania companies.
Dynalene has two ongoing PITA projects with Lehigh University. For one of the projects, Dynalene is working with the Chemical Engineering Department on improving cryogenic separation of water from heat transfer fluids. Dynalene also started working with Center of Advanced Materials and Technology on high temperature corrosion studies of molten salt based heat transfer fluid used for Concentrating Solar Plant applications.
